A member of Jonglei State Civil Society Network confirmed to Hagiga Wahid that civilians demonstrated in Nyirol county against the arrest and trial of Riek Machar. The demonstrators demanded his release and the release of his co-acussed saying that their trial is unjust and politically motivated. He confirmed that the demonstration was peaceful and no one was hurt in the process.
