This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
At least sixteen people have been reported killed in clashes around the Sobat corridor in the Upper Nile Region. The violence erupted two days ago in the opposition-held Doma area. The SPLM-IO Governor in Sobat, James Banak Riang, confirmed to The UN radio and other local media houses on phone from Mandeng that half the town was burnt down, leaving the civilian population in desperate need of humanitarian assistance. The Governor says the fighting is believed to have been triggered by suspected cattle raiders from Cuiel in Bieh State. Our team in Juba south sudan confirm the killings of the sixteen people.
