Four South Sudan People’s Defence Forces (SSPDF) soldiers were shot dead on Sunday Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) soldiers following a clash at Maru village, Kochi Sub-County, Yumbe District in northern Uganda. The area LCI chairman said the South Sudanese soldiers started raiding the village on 20 May 2020 in an attempt to loot the household property and animals. Following the public outcry, the UPDF soldiers at Goboro went on patrol at Fitinambaya Trading Centre in Maru village on 30 May 20 and that resulted in the clash.
