Lewis Anei Madut, the former senior member of South Sudan United Front (SSUF) led by South Sudan’s former army chief turned rebel leader, Gen. Paul Malong Awan, on Wednesday decided to return to the ruling SPLM faction led by President Salva Kiir according to the findings and a reliable source inside Juba. Lewis who was also a governor of South Sudan’s defunct Warrab state was quoted saiying in a statement he dissolved his party and decided to return to the ruling SPLM faction led by President Salva Kiir after several calls by Kiir to return back. Anie in May 2018 decided to join Malong’s SSUF with his Republican Party of South Sudan after he decided to resign as the Secretary General of the Jieng Council of Elders, a tribal entity working as a advisory board for President Salva Kiir.
