This report is Confirmed true and is of High Priority. Here is why -
More than ten people were abducted around Payawa Boma by armed personnel, taken to the bushes, and tied down with their hands on their backs. Most of the victims were motorcycle riders known as boda boda and most of these riders were transporting passengers from Yei to the near-by villages or vice versa when they met the ordeal. They were later rescued by a government soldier and charcoal burner who went to check on his charcoal site and found the victims in his site. He fired shots into the air to scare away the perpetrators in case they were still hanging around then untied and rescued all the people. All the people who were abducted survived except for two men who the abductors took along with them including their motorcycles. The rest of the abductees only lost their phones and money but their bikes were spared. This road has become a challenge to users.
